Belarus, Serbia complete 12 joint projects in healthcare, informatics, biotechnology

Belarus and Serbia are competing the implementation of 12 projects in healthcare, informatics, new materials and biotechnology, BelTA learned from the State Committee on Science and Technology.

Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology Sergei Shlychkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Ilina Vukajlovic to discuss the prospects of Belarusian-Serbian cooperation in science, technology and innovation. The parties noted the importance of interaction for both countries.

Cooperation in science and technology is carried out within the framework of the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Union Government of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia of 6 March 1996. In 2021, following the 9th meeting of the Belarusian-Serbian commission on scientific and technical cooperation, the parties agreed and later successfully held a contest of joint scientific and technical projects for 2022-2024.

According to the State Committee on Science and Technology, the two countries are completing the implementation of 12 joint projects in such areas as healthcare, informatics, new materials and biotechnology.
