National Historical Museum to open exhibition timed to 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation on 7 May

A temporary exhibition timed to the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from Nazi invaders will open in the National Historical Museum on 7 May, BelTA has learned.

The temporary exhibition features photo collages with sights of Belarusian towns and cities before the war, images of the same city blocks after barbaric German bombings and artillery barrages as well as modern sights of the populated localities that have been restored after the war and over the years of Belarus’ independence.

The exhibition is built around rare photos, documents, printed editions, and handwritten materials. They include rare exhibits from the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus and from a unique collection of Vladimir Likhodedov, a laureate of the Spiritual Revival Prize, author of 50 patriotic album books and the Fatherland project.
