Belarus and Russian Federation develop combined tours for Chinese

The Chinese residents want to see the sights of different countries within one tour, for this purpose the Belarus and the Russian Federation are developing a joint program.

Russia and Belarus are jointly going to receive tourists from China, combined tours are being developed for this purpose, said the head of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Sergei Kovalchuk.

He noted that with the help of the tour, two countries in one trip, they will be able to increase the attractiveness of the Belarusian destination for Chinese citizens.

"This is how they work with the Chinese in Western Europe, combining several cities and locations. We, too, are now setting ourselves the goal of linking into a single system, digitizing and monetizing our rich potential. Mutual recognition of visas will attract a huge flow of Chinese tourists to Minsk and other Belarusian cities," the Republican Union of Travel Industry quotes Kovalchuk.

Deputy Head of the Committee for Tour Cooperation with China, member of the Board of the Republican Union of Travel Industry Alexei Strelchenko specified that group and combined tours in Europe were popular among the Chinese before the coronavirus pandemic. The Republic has also been part of this program since 2018, when Belarus visa-free travel with China was introduced.
