Belarus to present its tourism potential in Uzbekistan, China

Belarus has a worthy place in international tourism, Director of the Belarusian National Tourism Agency Dmitry Morozov said at a press conference to mark World Tourism Day celebrated on 27 September, BelTA learned.
The Belarusian National Tourism Agency has been working to promote Belarusian tourist products in Russia and other countries both online and offline. It also organizes promotional tours.
“It is important to promote Belarus among foreign business professionals,” Dmitry Morozov noted. “Our summers have become longer. We enjoy up to five months of warm weather. This expands the possibilities for organizing such promotional tours.”
Belarus also takes part in international tourism events. For example, the country’s tourism potential was presented in Moscow on 17-19 September. The next event is the Tashkent International Tourism Fair. Earlier, travel operators from Uzbekistan visited Belarus on a promotional tour.
“The countries are interesting to each other because nature is different in Uzbekistan and Belarus. It is an opportunity to change the familiar environment, have a different experience. When the mercury takes a drop in Belarus, our tourists can go to Uzbekistan. The height of the hot summer in Uzbekistan is a good time to explore Belarusian beautiful landscapes,” Dmitry Morozov said.
In November a Belarusian delegation is planning to attend a large-scale exhibition in Beijing. “We will try to present Belarus in the best light at the national stand,” Dmitry Morozov noted. “Promoting the country online is as important. A lot of work is underway to fill our websites with information in different languages. We sign cooperation agreements with different regions for information exchange. We put together a special platform for online exhibitions. Such format saves a lot of time, resources and is quite informative.”
The Belarusian National Tourism Agency promotes tourist opportunities of the country in social media. Work is underway to open new routes, to launch direct flights to new destinations.
“The growth potential is big. The demand for our health centers and hotels is high and suggests the need to build up these capabilities,” Dmitry Morozov said. “Belarus has a worthy place in international tourism. We have many reliable partners. These are the Russian Federation, most of the CIS countries with which there is good connectivity, China. I am sure that the volumes will increase. There are a lot of other interesting markets, with which we can cooperate.”
